Dead sea & psoriasis skin affliction
I have a short appointment in Amman very beginning of next year (first week)As I have a psoriasis ( non contagious skin disease)
I know that salty bad in the death sea can heal a lot.
question: is possible to bath during that period? I would stay in Jordan longer ( and visit a bit around Wadi rum)
thanks

Definitely worth bathing for temporary relief of your condition. The Dead Sea enjoys a micro climate and the air temperature will be considerably warmer than Amman, as you descend to the ''sea'' shore. There will probably be no public transport from Amman, but take a car and driver to a public bathing facility with with showers, changing facilities and food outlets etc. called ''Amman Beach''. Do not shave that day, do not go in the water with open cuts, and shower off after coming out the water.I hope you enjoy Jordan.

I have heard some people with psoriasis -express their joy at having great results from frequent bathing in the Dead Sea.I think a one off doesn't help much but a week or so should be beneficial. It depends on the severity of the disease and your body's reaction to the salts & minerals.. Don't expect miracles and a full cure,, maybe 50% better.. I don't know if its a coincidence but few people have this skin disease here..
Many people bathe at that time of the year as the climate is very moderate.. Its difficult to predict weather but in general should be tolerable and water is warmer than usual sea water..

Temperature average in December is 24 degree and in August is 36.6 degree (according to daily temperature in 1996)http://www.jordandeadsea.com/WATER-SUN-AIR-EARTH.htm
Just to add, do not allow the salt water into your eyes.
