Coming up! Word on the grapevine is that a new one will be opening in 2013, with wonderful books, all the trimmings, PLUS community activities, so it won't be just for travelers. Will be a great place to shop, talk, and talk shop....about all things Cuban, and also to find or exchange books. Cuban friends are involved in this start-up business (cooperative?), so I'll find out the name and keep you posted!

Further to Cubainsider's post, I have several linear feet of English books awaiting the opening of this new place! If you like Barbara Kingsolver, Julia Álvarez, Carol Shields, Margaret Atwood, Rohinton Mistry, Abraham Verghese, AS Byatt, Anne Lamott and Dave Eggers, you might find something you like. I also have lots of nonfiction, mostly memoir and essays (Annie Dillard, Madeleine L'Engle, Margaret Randall, Stephen Jay Gould, Melissa Faye Greene, Eduardo Galeano, Lewis Thomas, etc.).
Can't wait for it to open, so I can refill my bookshelves with all new (to me) books.
