Allenby Bridge Visa Confusion?Hi, I am making a trip to the West Bank on Friday, and am flying into Tel Aviv and out of Amman, but i have found different information as to whether or not i need a visa for jordan before i go. As a UK citizen is it true that i will need a pre arranged Visa to enter Jordan via Allenby bridge, and if i do can i get this in 1 day by going straight to the embassy in London because my flight is next Friday!!??

1Visas for Jordan are NOT issued on the spot at the Allenby Bridge. You need a visa in advance if you are crossing there. You can get a visa on the spot at the Eilat/Aqaba crossing and at the Sheikh Hussein crossing (near Beit She'an).

3Just a note about the London embassy. It's no longer north of the river (Hammersmith Road or such) as some websites suggest. Not totally easy to find; it's near Battersea, I think.
Check carefully or you'll waste time trying to find it. Use http://www.tfl.gov.uk for transport options.
I gave up and just got a visa on arrival from Syria last year. but that was possible at the bored I crossed.
