Interrail Europe
Hi,I am lucky enough to have leave from 14th December till 6th January, so thinking of doing a bit of a tour through Europe and would appreciate any tips and pointers some of you might have. I am considering the Interrail option so far, with a very northerly trip of Norway planned, a trip to some German Christmas markets and Poland for New Years (have a mate staying there). Also, just for laughs, want to include a day or two in Sarajevo and then Belgrade.
Questions are: With the time I have available am I being realistic, I dont want to be rushed half my time? I am also planning it alone, being in the navy a bit of alone time is gold dust but I dont wanna be regretting potentially spending Christmas on my tod! Money wise does anybody have an approximate budget I should be putting aside? Also it is imperative I return by the 6th at the very latest, is the rest of Europe prone to being shut down with a bit of snow like the UK or can I consider myself fairly safe given the correct amount of prudence?
As said before any ideas, pointers, advise will be gratefully received.
Cheers
Stewart

Have you done any research in to this? My guess would be no.The closest train station to Nordkapp is Narvik which is 800km south of Nordkapp, at least a 12hr drive in the 24hr darkness.
It will take you 4 to 5 days solid rail travel to get from Narvik to Sarajevo.
What is it you really want from this trip? Try to concentrate on a smaller geographic area and work out what to do in that area.
