It depends what country your from. There are several countries (including many in the EU) which no longer need a visa for Armenia But if you aren't from one of those countries then yes the visa is a whole page.3
I just did the e-visa. I didn't have anything put in my passport, just a printed page of copy paper. At the border, they just looked it up online and it was fine. I would assume that would work for UK citizens, too. I'm American.4
Yes, as jen1178 said, the e-visa (Google armenia e-visa) obviates the need for the paper visa. Instead of putting a full-page adhesive paper visa in your passport, they'll just put entry and exit stamps in your passport on arrival and departure. Be sure to go online in advance for the e-visa, as there is processing time on their end.The e-visa is a digital image which looks like a color scan of a paper visa. Be sure to email the image to yourself (don't rely on their website, use the PrtScn key on your keyboard, and save it to a file using Photoshop or whatnot) and print hardcopy (monochrome is OK). You'll need the hardcopy at the border if they can't find your e-visa in their computer system (happened to me).
