Managua and Tegucigalpa
I am traveling from Nicaragua to Costa Rica. Unfortunately I have to spend a night in Managua to catch the Tica bus to Tegucigalpa and then spend a night there before traveling to the D&D Brewerry. Can anyone who has been there recently give some advice about staying safe/getting from hotel to bus station safely? Our bus departs Managua at 5 AM.Thank you

Hi,My girlfriend and I stayed in Managua on Monday night, waiting to go on to Granada where we are now.
We arrived into Managua at 3am and simply got a taxi to somewhere we heard was a good hostel, it turned out to be full but there was spaces in another right next door.
Although Managua isn´t my favourite place, you´ll be fine as long as you have a rough plan of where to go and just grab a taxi to your accomodation.

I stay at Guesthouse Santos. It is one block up (north) and a block and a half to the left from the Ticabus terminal. Nothing fancy though. I always just walk. Never had a problem. There are many options in Marta Quezada all within a few blocks and take a taxi if you feel more comfortable but have someplace in mind because you are going to be presented with lots of ...uh...suggestions if you exit the terminal with that bewildered look of indecision. You can always change your mind if you don't like your initial pick.
