Golf and lodging at Doonbeg

I've heard that Doonbeg Lodge is nice both for the hotel and the golf. Has anyone stayed there and what is your point of view. How is the golf at Doonbeg and how far is it from Doonbeg to Lahinch. Many thanks.

Doonbeg golf resort is consistantly voted the number 1
in Ireland.
The course is a Greg Norman design
i think its about 15 - 20 miles south of Lahinch
use Google MAPS to locate.

Thanks for the tip. I've always wanted to play Lahinch and Doonbeg sounds like a winner.
