I suggest this Hostal in Quito, 10 dollar pax with private bath.clean , safe, old but confortable and the staff is great.
breakfast 2 dollar with egg, cake, butter and jam, tea or coffee.
from the top of the hostal a great view of all town.
close to La Marin city bus station, 5 minute to the historical center on foot.
