Why 4 days in Ottawa? You could easily do Ottawa in 2 days - including the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau (just over the bridge from Parliament Hill, easily walkable between the two) You could spend the extra time in Algonquin Park, or Quebec City.

thanx to all again.

Depending upon Greyhound Canada schedule only I have included Maynooth in itinerary but Kingston is an option since still I am not able to book NF - Maynooth route as per my dates, also I have increased a day for NF (by reducing 1 day from Kingston). In any case Maynooth will be first priority. I have booked accommodation at Maynooth for 4 full days and will see if I can spend atleast 1 night inside Algonquin park.

I am not even a city person but have decided not to avoid world famous Canadian cities except Vancouver.

Regarding VIA, last month I was in Europe and trains in Austria, Switzerland and Italy disappointed me. I hope it doesn't happen in Canada.

I wouldn't add more time to Niagara Falls. You'll go crazy after one day. You can spend about half a day at the Falls and half a day hiking into the gorge at Niagara Glen Park and then an evening in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I'd arrive in the morning and leave the next morning.

The bus to Maynooth requires a change of bus first in Toronto and then in Peterborough. Rather than spend extra time in Niagara Falls or Kingston, I'd recommend spending that time in Peterborough. It's a small city that is quite pretty. It's a bit hard to do stuff without a car but even just walking around the city centre, and along the river or finding a bike to rent and biking on the plethora of biking trails is worth doing if you can't make an immediate connection to the Maynooth bus. If you're not a city person, I'd think you'd like Peterborough better than Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Be warned that Toronto is tough for a non-city person to like on first impression. However, dig around, get out of downtown, and you may be able to enjoy it.
