Ferry from Kefalonia to Italy

My wife and I are planning on travelling with our two children from Kefalonia to Italy on about the 8th of August next year. Does anyone have any idea on the possible routes and prices? I have done a number of internet searches but at this stage I am struggling.

Thanks,
Chris

Until now, there were always direct night ferries from Kefalonia to Brindisi during high season (end July until end August). The fares are similar to the Corfu - Brindisi high season fares (starting at aobut 40 EUR for deck passengers and 70 EUR for cabin passengers).

If you want to go to Central or Northern Italy (Ancona or Venice), it's more comfortable to go by ferry or bus from Kafalonia to Patras and from there with another ferry to Ancona (daily) or Venice (about 4times weekly).

If you have plenty of time, you may also do some Island hopping:
Ferry from Kefalonia (Fiskardo) to Lefkas Island, bus from Lefkas to Preveza - Parga, excursion boat from Parga to Paxi Island, ferry from Paxi to Corfu Island and international ferry from Corfu to Brindisi, Bari, Ancona or Venice.

http://www.ryanair.com/ has some seasonal flights from Kefalonia to Pisa and Bergamo.
