crazy poor bacpakers looking for job without WHVI'm from Malaysia. bought a one way ticket and not having good amount of money... I applied an ETA, as a visitor and is there a chance for me to get a job there?
or I will sustain in Perth airport, have a nice tea and send back ty home land. (In which i am afraid of)?

1If you're not careful, it could be a cup of tea and a flight back to where you came from. You CANNOT work on any sort of tourist visa and if they suspect you'll be in Australia with the intention of looking for work, thats what it will be. And with a one way ticket, the odds are high of that happening.

5Zhafir, from what you have written you really have not thought this through. Even if you manage somehow to get to Perth airport, you will be lucky to get through immigration and if you do, you will find it very hard to find work and any illegal work you get will be poorly paid, possibly exploitative and high risk. You will be competing with a huge number of backpackers with valid work visas along with Australians, in one of the most expensive countries in the world.
I would recommend that under these circumstances you reconsider your trip until you have the correct visa and funds.

11Thanks for quick reply while here in Malaysia, I keep on finding a little bit of money and it's done, I got a ticket out of Australia (But it's from Melbourne) for Auckland.
And that's in February. :(
Buy the way, found a cool website here and very informative and helpful too for travelers.
PoppyG, I don't know its funny or fun, but I guess the latter is great personally for me since I am young and stupid.
benmacdui, Thanks for brief infos and yeah, already consider and done a couple of thing (ticket out).
By the way, did Australian immigration will ask me about my cash/money? If do, I'll be damned and hell is the option I guess.
Thanks all for the quick reply and all.
Have a safety trip! (No, I said this to myself LOL)

12Now you need to consider your flight into NZ. They will most likely do a check when you come into NZ so you need to be prepared. You need to be able to show proof of funds, know about places you're going to see.

14Not necessarily. Evidence of sufficient funds to purchase a ticket to a country which you have the right of entry is an option to get a visitors visa.
At check in they will probably just want to see that visa. On arrival in NZ, he'll want to be able to show more as I said. But you're right. An onward ticket is better proof.
