2 Questions about Juarez/El Paso

Hi All!!

I am taking Vivaaerobus, a small commuter plane, out of Guadalajara to Juarez in December. I will be arriving in Juarez in the early morning around 7am. Does anyone know how far the airport is from the old Santa Fe Foot bridge? I will take a taxi there and then cross the border on foot like I did last trip. Just need to know distance and cost if anyone has that info.

Second question.... Last trip I took the Americanos bus up to Albuquerque. But i had to wait until very late in the afternoon in El Paso for it. However, this time I will be able to get to the bus station hopefully by mid-morning. I am hoping that I can catch a bus from El Paso, the Americanos line, in the morning. Does anyone know if there is a bus that leaves for New Mex. in the morning? The Americanos website stinks, and calling 800 numbers from mexico isn't free.
Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Try El Paso Limousine's schedule. They also go to ABQ. Greyhound too. You could also take that cab all the way to the El Paso Airport and catch a plane.

A cab to the Santa Fe bridge should cost approx. $250 MXN. I've taken morning buses (I think there are two) to Albuquerque from the Americanos station across the bridge in El Paso in the morning, but no longer remember just when. You're right about the afternoon bus. I leaves sometime around 6:30 P.M., which means you don't get to Albuquerque until midnight (give or take a little). I had to take this one my last trip (this February), because my cross-border bus got held up at the border and I missed the morning bus. It was a looooooong wait for that afternoon bus. When I want Americanos information, I always spend the little bit necessary to call their Albuquerque office, where pretty reasonable English is spoken, and, at least so far, have always gotten the correct information from them.

I've been threatening to go from El Paso to Albuquerque via the El Paso Limousine bus service (it has had some pretty good reviews on this forum), but don't know (yet!) what their schedule is (the cost is about the same). The only thing that bothers me is I can't seem to find out where they let off and pickup passengers in Albuquerque. I know that they don't have a counter in (so I assume they don't go to) the main Albuquerque bus depot where both Americanos and Greyhound are.

Check Aerobus for transportation into town. I've ridden their private bus from the Monterrey airport to the downtown bus station for a small fee, but don't know if they offer the same service in Juarez.

Problem is, ranchhand, the Juárez central camionera is way out of the center of town. It's almost as far out as the darn airport. You sure wouldn't want to walk to the border from there, I guarantee that!
