We are planning to be in South Beach and Miami area this spring break. Where and what is a reasonable place to stay in the area?-thanks!!!

OP - You posted earlier and asked a very general question in which several folks mentioned you need to be more specific in your questions.There are hundreds of hotels in the Miami / SoBe area. How can anyone answer your question when we don't what you consider "reasonable" or exactly where you wish to be?
I recommend you stay at the Delano in SoBe. That's reasonable to me.

Just google "best of Miami". and you will get the readers.choices from New Times. I did last tIme I was there and had a blast. if you have a car, you might want to head over to the Cuban part of town for a meal.
