lol, montyman I was thinking the same thing. It wasn't my intention for it to go that way I just wanted to let the gals know I couldn't find tampons in Myanmar. hahaha. Coco, I don't think I could handle the maintenance for the cup in a country like Myanmar. Okay no more gross stuff.

Well if guys can discuss the availability, size & durability of condoms, why can't we discuss our feminine issues? Plenty of female travelers here and this information is good to pass on. ;-)

I think in countries where plumbing is not the greatest, especially in very rural areas where there really isn't plumbing using throw away products that biodegrade is going to be better than the reusable cup. I feel the cup would actually cause more contamination because of how you have to handle it. I would also worry that if you have a faulty toilet in a guesthouse, leaving the contents of THAT would be horrendous for the next customer or hotel staff. I see that it takes up less room and lessons the garbage, but I feel it is more hygienic to use disposables like O.B.

Well heck ladies, have at it.... besides, when I was a kid, we used to swipe those things from our moms and play war. We lit those little strings on fire, pretended they were dynamite and threw them at each other. HaHa.
