Reporting a Recommendation for a Guide in the South

Hi All,

Just back from VN, where I spent also six days in the south: two in Saigon, one in the area, and three in the Mekong Delta. I had with me a guide - very highly recommended! He was not only what I was looking for, but MUCH MUCH more than that. Professional, experienced, knowledgeable, energetic, perfectionist, punctual, polite, open, flexible, caring (almost 'mothering'), patient with my too many questions and requests, with a correct balance between respect for the customer and friendly familiarity, and with a good sense of humor. A nice AND good young man. He made a world of difference for the success of the trip!!!

His details: Nguyen Hoang
hoangfabio@gmail.com
(+84-8) 3838 6678
Can be reached directly, or requested through all agencies working in Saigon or Hanoi, especially TUN and asianatravelmate.com

Sound like a perfect guide but sorry I saw only cheesy words! Too perfect to be true! Just my feeling!

It was generally saccharine reccos like this that drove me away from tripadvisor. Of course they were using the same generic descriptions of guides to Angkor Wat; all of the praise made them sound like boy scouts.
