4Not yet mentioned are a couple of other ones- though they don't do casas particulares.
Before I left home I made use of two online sources-*Cubaism* and *Cuba Travel Network*- to book eleven of my eighteen nights’ worth of accommodation in Cuba. I am happy to say that they were 100% reliable- there were no hassles or mix-ups at all. Everyone was expecting me and it took very little time to check in. By the time I got back to Toronto I even found emails from both companies asking for evaluations of each of their hotels I had booked!
One of the things I liked was having the rooms pre-paid so that I would not have to worry about getting extra money while there.
Good luck with your arrangements.

5Cuba Junky is good. Also Pototo. He is based in Havana and especially good with Havana bookings because he's right there to deal with things if something goes wrong--like the casa owner has given your room to somebody who got there before you. (Almost no casa owner will hold a room until they have the money in hand.)

6Cuba Junky and the above mentioned are all great options.
Should you decide to book with Cuba Travel Network ....
Use the gateway and a portion of your booking goes to "help Cuban help their animals".

10I'd endorse the Spanky Project. I took across some basic medicines for cats and dogs and got to meet with the Cuban-Canadian organiser. They don't have the likes of an RSPCA in that country. The Spanky Project fills a gaps I think. Cuban folk appreciate a bit of help from tourists, so too will the cats and dogs. If you spend the time you'll make lots of dog & cat friends in Cuba. By and large the animals are very friendly and appreciate a bit of food dropped from your plate or some leftovers saved from a meal.

11On behalf of the Spanky Project thank you all for the kind words.
The supplies that individuals bring to Cuba are a great help.
The aid is much appreciated.
CTN has been very supportive of our work.
As johnabbotsford points out, booking through the Spanky Project link costs you nothing extra.... and means so much to our work with the animals.
