Safest way to visit Egypt and pyramids

I was wondering what the safest possible way would be to visit Egypt. All I really want to see is some of the pyramids really . So wouldn't need to stay more than a few days probably. But Im too scared to go coz I hear how bad stuff happens over there and all that so researching options at the moment. Would a contiki tour or something similar be the safest way, or would going just 2 people (1 male 1 female) yourself be no more safe or unsafe ?
Thanks

It's perfectly safe to by yourself, just read up on the usual advice in guidebooks and on your country's foreign ministry site, and, right at the moment, be aware of any demonstrations thta might be going on and stay well away from them.

hello bella , first of all i wanna tell you that its very safe in egypt atm , but take an excption to ( tahrir ) square , which is pretty far from the giza, pyramids , its not dangerous at all , but there are few clashes in tahrir square, secondly about being on urself or with a partner , it doesn't really matter only if u know what u r doing like got xp , if you needed anyhelp i would be happy to help . have a nice day

It's less hassle with a male partner, but I've never worried about travelling round Egypt by myself. I'm a blonde woman, though older than most and I dress modestly, i.e. no bare arms or legs.
It's probably safer than where you come from. Certainly I never worry about being attacked or robbed there.
