Erlian / Erenhot Trains / Buses - Info Required

Is there an update to the train and bus schedules and the connecting locations?

I want to go to Huashan from Ulaanbaatar on Sunday. If this connection is not possible, I would like to either take a train there from Erlian / Erenhot (border) or from Datong.

I've been told that there is a train that leaves Ulaanbaatar on Sunday around 07:10am. It goes direct to Beijing.
There is a train that leaves Ulaanbaatar on Sunday around 08:30pm. It stops in Erlian / Erenhot, but I don't know of any further stops it makes (if it goes to Datong or Huashan).

I tried these sites but there is no station/stop for Elian or Erenhot to choose from:

http://chinatour.net/train/
http://www.chinatravelguide.com/ctgwiki/Special:CNTrainSearch?method=1

Can anyone provide up-to-date information on the trains and buses passing through Erlian / Erenhot, their schedule and where they are going (into China, not Mongolia)?

Also, what are the border opening times and when is it possible to pass through?

I took a sleeper bus from Erlian to Beijing. It was the last departure of the day on that route, leaving at 3:30pm and reaching Beijing at around 2:00am the next day. The bus didn't stop anywhere along the way, except for dinner at a roadside stop. It did not pass through Datong. This was in March 2012.

Sorry, I don't know the answers to your other questions.

You can choose Erlian (note spelling) in the web of Chinatravelguide. If you use the link you provided, you have to use option two (i.e.: the option where you have to type the stations yourself).

@ Egjeg, do you remember where did your bus from Erlian to Beijing arrived? You say the south part of Beijing, was it Muxiyuan bus station?

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly where it was. They basically just dropped us at the side of the road, rather than at a bus station, and I was still so groggy that I just stumbled out and got in a cab.
