Visa expired

I am currently working in Kyrgyzstan on a 1 year work visa. My passport was stolen, and i received a new temporary passport. I left the country for 2 weeks of vacation, once I returned I explained my passport and work visa situation to the immigration officer at the airport. He said no problem and I paid him over 100.00 usd, he stated that my work visa is still good and issued me another visa but like an idiot i went on my way thinking i had another 1 year work visa. Today i looked at my passport and realized the immigration officer only issued me a 1 month visa, and it expired 35+ days ago. I plan on leaving the country in January 2013 for vacation. What can i do to resolve this issue? is my original 1 year work visa still valid? I appreciate the advice. Thank you.
