Long Weekend Planning Alert, Argentina, November 23 TO 26, 2013

Just a short-term planning advisory about the coming long weekend in Argentina (Monday a new holiday called Sovereignty Day not in most guidebooks, for an obscure river blocking of the British fleet in the 1840's) . Best to avoid being on the road at this time,and make reservations for this time if you need a place to stay or a ticket. If you do not like crowds, best to avoid high-tourist destinations during these days . This applies to the days just before and after the holidays. My philosophy is just to hunker down in one comfortable place for the time, and not to get too ambitious. :).

Many ATM´s will run out of cash early on such weekends (many do anyway), stock up on needed pesos beforehand (now).
