Hi Valentina, if you'll travel in December you must know climate can be very wet in Fes and all the northern part of the country.
We will go december 11th but starting from Marakesh to the south. Have a great trip. Morocco is unbeliveble.

Valentina, I checked now your schedule with Supratour and you can catch and see both Todra Dades and Todra Gorge. You arrive by bus Boumalne from Ouarzazate around three o'clock, so you have the whole afternoon for you. Similarly, the next day, bus to Erg Chebbi go first 16:00 so you have the whole morning to you.
The only thing that could be perhaps a little harder is to arrange transportation to both the Dades and then to Tinerhir and Gorge. So you have to do to find any transportation - some tour or take a taxi.

Hi,

with regards to your question about is it worth sleeping in Meknes....

Meknes does not have the wow factor of Fes or Marrakesh on the medina front, it is much smaller and the shopping area is quite condensed. It does however have the beautiful Moulay Ismail mousoleum. The riads there are also better value for money than in Fes. It has a great main square outside of the medina entrance which is great for watching the world go by. It is a really nice and laid back place and we often find we go there to do our shopping instead of Fes. Meknes also has a metal work speciality and you can find some artisan shops that are happy to show you how they inlay silver thread into plates, bowls and statues.

My favorite riad is Maison Da Cote... little bt pricy, but really pretty.
Meknes...

Agree, it is worth to stay in Meknes, very nice city, I liked Medina very much. Stayed at Riad Filalia just in Medina not so expensive.
