4 nights including New Year in the Maldives

Hello All,

My boyfriend and I are on a 4 day stop over in the Maldives from 29 December (spending New Years Eve there). We fly into Male but are keen to go straight to a nice beach. As we’re going to be there for New Year’s Eve we’d quite like somewhere with a good atmosphere – it doesn’t have to be lots of partying
(though suggestions welcome!) but a couple of restaurants and beachside bars would be nice.

I’ve looked at previous posts about where to stay for 4 days and saw a mention of Meeru Island Resort but they require a minimum stay of 6 nights.

Any other suggestions as to where might be a good place to stay?

Thanks for your help.

Most places are already booked for those dates unless you have a budget of 2k a night. Then you won't have any problems finding a place. Club Faru might be a good bet since it's close to Male'/airport and there's no point in spending a lot of time traveling to the resort if you only have 4 days. Here's a link to a website that reviews Maldives resorts. I had a quick look at agoda but it looks like there aren't many midrange rooms left for the holidays.

Thank you for checking and sending the link! Yes - we're very late booking I know...I'll take a look through the link and hopefully I find something. Thanks again.

Even the cheapest resorts in the maldives would require you to pay for new year night gala dinner. Would cost around $80-120 in most resorts. So you should consider the above stated cost before making any kind of booking. I could lend some help in last minute bookings even..

Some budget resorts:

Fihalhohi
Embudu
Club med kani
Paradise
Biyaadhoo
Club faru
