Train ticketsI'm in the process of sorting out my train tickets for Uzbekistan. I will be there between 20th-30th December.
I understand that I can't use the rzd.ru website as I will not be able to exchange e-tickets to paper tickets outside Russia? Is this correct?
How likely is it that if I wait and buy tickets in Uzbekistan trains will be sold out? I am on a tight schedule so can not really risk having to wait around.
Thanks for any information.

1Having lived in Uzbekistan for 5 years I can tell you to plan for the unexpected, it happens all the time. Buy your tickets ahead of time, and eliminate some stress.

3Your correct definitely don't use rzd.ru. I made that mistake when trying to book a Kazakh train ticket in advance and lost £50 because the ticket could only be printed in russia, I did get to look at it though since it appeared on the screen of the self print machine, just wouldn't print. We booked Tashkent Samarkand trains the day before departure. The one we wanted was full but we booked another one that departed about 30 mins later. The staff on the info desk when you enter the booking office in Tashkent are really helpful.
