Manzanillo Airport to Puerto Vallarta?

Manzanillo Airport to Puerto Vallarta?
Hello,This spring, my wife and I are planning on renting a car in Zihuatanejo and driving up the coast towards Puerto Vallarta. It is much cheaper to drop the rental car at the Manzanillo airport than in Puerto Vallarta.
So, if we drop the car off in the morning at the Manzanillo airport, what is the best way to get to Puerto Vallarta the same day? I'd like to avoid backtracking....

You'll have to take a taxi into Manzanillo or Cihuatlan to catch a bus. There are NO buses going to the airport!3
Thanks RGM. It seems like Cihuatlan would be easier than backtracking to Manzanillo. Do you know which buses run through Cihuatlan to PV?4
Primera Plus leaves at ungodly hours and only from MelaqueBarra de Navidad & Melaque to Vallarta
Flecha Amarilla - Primera Plus (First Class Service)
From Melaque Only 2:00 & 4:30 AM. Arrivals from highway 80 not Manzanillo.
Pacifico/Cihuatlán - Cihuatlán Plus (First Class Service)
from Barra 9:15 AM & 1:15 PM, from Melaque 9:30 AM & 1:30 PM. Arrives from Manzanillo.
There are other second class bus options

I think the Cihuatlan bus comes from Manzanillo and stops in Cihua. A taxi to Barra or Melaque is about 420 pesos and maybe 300 to Cihua. There are a lot of local buses if you have time9
Just to clarify Nr.9 posting, there are NO buses of any kind going into the airport. The local buses are going along Mex-200 from Manzanillo to Barra de Navidad to PV and other locations via Cihuatlan. Mex-200 is about 5 km from the airport.Airport is TAXIS ONLY!
