New Year's Eve in London: where to go??Me and my friend just booked a trip to London. We will be there on New Year's Eve as well, BUT we don't know any good places to party. I read that it is neccessary to get a ticket in advance, because lots of good places tend to fill up. I've already been browsing the internet, but it's hard to get an indication of the atmosphere, the kind of music, the kind of people who will be there. We don't feel like getting stuck at a party with a bunch of 18-year-olds for example.
We would like to go to a place for drinks and dancing where the average age is about 25-40, relaxed atmosphere, different kinds of music....
(We found a place on the internet called 'Floripa' which looked like a nice South American style bar, but apparently the crowd is pretty young?)
Can anyone help us out and give us some tips, please?
That would be kindly appreciated, thanks! :-)

1Hi - and welcome to Thorn Tree.
How long are you staying in London for - and when do you arrive?

4Hi, in the last few years there's been no shortage of places where you can get a ticket on the day in my experience if you aren't going for anything too specific. www.londonnet.com is quite helpful.
Trafalgar square has, I think, been in effect "closed" (for want of a better word) sometimes at New Year's Eve - so I'd check before if that's the place to be...
