Ko Lipe - Padang Besar Malaysia (visa problem)
HiIs there any fast way to get from Ko Lipe to Malaysia to obtain 15day more visa?
If i go to Langkawi I would stay one night (LonelyPlanet Malaysia 2009 say).
Do you think that this should work:
Ko Lipe > Pak Bara > HatYai (bus) > Pedang Besar (train) > HatYai (train) > Ko Lanta (bus)
Or there is bus from Pak Bara to Pedang Besar ... road there is

There's a ferry from Koh Lipe to Langkawi - about a one hour trip. Ferry only runs in high season though.2
Is OP saying he doesn't want to go by ferry ?You could certainly go Lipe-Pak Bara-Hat Yai-Padang Besar. . For the Pak Bara - Hat Yai part you would take a tourist minibus. For the Hat Yai-Padang Besar part there are local buses about every hour for 80B. I think there is only one train per day, so maybe bus is more flexible.
Alternatively you could go Pak Bara-Langu (20B sorngthairw). LaNgu-Satun (big bus ~60B) Satun Town-Thammalang Pier (sorngtairw 20B). From Thammalang Pier there are ferries to Kuala Perlis on Malaysia mainland and also to Langkawi again.
I think that there is an (infrequent) boat from Lipe direct to Satun. If that works out, you could also go Lipe-Satun (boat) Satun-Hat Yai (big bus ~300B) then on to Padang Besar from there.

I know about ferry way, but as I wrote above: LP say that you should stay one day at Langkawi if you come from KoLipe to get another 15day visa. :(And I will come to KoLipe from Langkawi this way... So I want to avoid this
wonderingtsar2 .... thanks a lot

I'm guessing that the book says to overnight in Langkawi just because the boat schedules wouldn't get you in and out on the same day. It might still be a practical option, as you could get the boat direct to Lanta the next day.I don't think there is a bus from Hat Yai to Lanta. You would have to change at Trang and take a tourist minibus from there and there aren't too many of them. You wouldn't get Lipe-Malaysia-Lanta all in one day, so you would have to overnight somewhere - why not Langkawi? The Tigerline leaves Langkawi at 0900 and gets to Lanta at 1500 (2600B)
Actually, the latest LP says Lipe-Langkawi speedboats go at 0730, 1030 1600 and take an hour. Speedboats back at 0730 0930 1430. If that's right, you could do your visa run to Langkawi in one day, stay overnight on Lipe, then pick up the Tigerline as it goes through Lipe at 9ish the next day to go to Lanta.....

I am almost sure that there was never a connection Lipe Langkawi at 0730.for a visa run the same as everybody said here : one night on Langkawi Island due to the schedules.

You do not need to go via Yad Yai there is a border crossing near Satun (or was) at Wang Prajan. The transport to the border is not frequent but ask the driver to wait whilst you do the formalities and you should be OK.8
Ok. At Pak Bara it is easy to ask at travel agencies for "visa run". They take you by private taxi to Wang Prajan (1+1hour) for 900B both ways. Pretty easy.(so from Boulon we went to border and on way back we catch bus to Trang and fortunately met woman from other travel agency who arrange us whole trip to Ko Kradan and even reservation at Wally ... So at 18:00 we was at Paradise Lost)
