Hi,

From what I know, the visa service is only for Malaysian passport holders. They only do for foreign passport if you are a long term resident in Malaysia e.g. if you work in Malaysia.

Sorry #1 but it really isn't helpful to post incorrect information. Particularly information that is so wrong that it could change someone's travel plans!

The Indian visa service office in KL has my passport right now and I'll be picking it up on Friday ready for my trip to India.

The website that #2 mentions is really good and clearly sets out all the details for you.

Good luck.
If you want more information please send me a private msg I would be happy to help

Non Malaysians need to complete an additional form in order to obtain their Indian Visa in Kuala Lumpur.

They also have offices in Georgetown and Johor Bahru if that is more convenient for you.

#4 you are correct.

You cannot get an Indian visa in KL unless you are Malaysian or have been resident in Malaysia fro more than two years Despite them having provision on their website and extra forms to complete it is not possible.

We were also told by the British consulate that you a British person can only apply for an Indian tourist visa in the UK. However some people still claim you can get one in Bangkok.

Travel plans have just had to change...
