Flights/Accommodation in IcelandHello
Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to Iceland in September 2013.
We have found that EasyJet fly from Manchester (UK) direct into Keflavik International Airport. However the dates we plan to go are 15th - 29th September, and the flights are not showing after the 8th September. Does anyone know if easyjet only fly there through the summer? We could possibly change the dates so it isn't a major problem.
We are also looking for some accommodation, can anyone recommend anything? We want to be near to Reykjavik but not in the centre, we would also like to see the surrounding areas and visit the Blue Lagoon etc. I also want to go horse-riding at some point!
Any information would be great!

Welcome to TT!
Easyjet doesn't show yet any schedule after Sep. 8th 2013. The route from Manchester to Keflavik will start in February in next year. I found references about the route from Manchester to Keflavik in the web of Easyjet but none of them said if it would be year-round. However, they are going to start the route in the winter season (February) and they also show the schedule for the summer season (July, August, early September) so it seems it'll be year round but, of course, we can't confirm it as well as we can't confirm the route won't be discountinued in September if there's low demand... You'll have to wait till the schedule for mid and late Sep. is uploaded in order to know for sure.

3Thanks for the replies.
tsturman - thanks for the information its been very helpful, Easyjet doesn't have the timetables up for flights from Luton in September yet, but i am keeping a very close eye on it! I have also made some enquiries into the accommodation that you have recommended.
iviehoff - Our other option of time of year would be late April/early May, I can't take 2 weeks off work during summer, and we felt that any less than two weeks would be a waste of a trip of a lifetime! I am aware that winter moves in quickly in September, and also that in April the weather is also fairly fast-changing (from winter to summer). We would also love to see the Northern Lights, and am i right in thinking that they can appear from September - March?
Thanks everyone for your help! :)

6my horseback riding tour in Iceland was really fun. I don't know how much you've read about it, but the Icelandic horses have this special gait called a tolt, which is in between a trot and a gallop. it was neat to try it out. I wrote about it on my travel blog theblondebackpacker.com if you want to check it out
