From Santiago to Cusco in 1 monthHi,
Around the 17th or 18th December I plan on heading north from Santiago de Chile up to Cusco, Peru. Arrival in Cusco should be 15th or 16th of January 2013.
So I want to see the north of Chile and Bolivia if its possible.
Unfortunately I don't really have any idea how my route will look like, because I don't know what is worth seeing in this area, and obviously I cant visit everything in just 1 month.
Would love to get some helpful suggestions

1I'm planning a trip from Cuzco through Bolivia to northern Chile in January so thought I'd chime in with some of the preliminary research that I've done (though take this info with a grain of salt as I have not yet traveled these places). I'm tentatively planning on going from:
-Cuzco to Puno, Peru
-Puno to Copacabana / Isla del sol on Lake Titicaca (on the Bolivia side, though there's places to visit on the Peru side)
-Copacabana to La Paz
-La Paz to Uyuni to visit the salt flats (major highlight, not to be missed)
-End salt flat tour in San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile (geysers, valley of the moon, lots of other stunning landscapes to visit)
You could probably check out these places in reverse order after figuring out transportation from Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama. Hope this helps!

2thanks for your answer.
sounds good, I checked out Uyuni, and the pictures are awesome, so I will definitely spend some time there.
Also Lake Titicaca seems to be worth a visit. Same goes for Puno.
San Pedro and La Paz were already on my list, so the route is getting more detailed.
Anyone been to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna in Bolivia?
What about the north of Chile except San Pedro? any recommendations?
