Iraq (Kurdistan) during Muharram (November 20-25)

Hello

I am planning to travel in Kurdistan next week.

Can anyone comment on the effect that Muharram will have on the area - specifically Dohuk, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah?

Will shops be open? Will transport be available to move around? Will local people be out?

Also, do you know if the Iran-Iraq border will be closed?

Any information is appreciated!

Thanks

It's really not a big deal at all. You won't notice any disruptions what-so-ever.
