south american spanish music--suggestions.

my partner and i are thinking about moving to chile or argentina for a year, in a couple of years--grown up gap year. he's studying spanish like a mad man, and i thought for christmas i could get him some music.

he likes blues and blues-rock (rolling stones, james, civil wars, beautiful south).

any suggestions? i'd need to be able to buy them off amazon or some such, or have it delivered to canada.
thank you!

Not from Argentina or Chile, but Manu Chao is very accessible (Clandestino would be a good starting point). Maná are also popular and along the right lines for his tastes. ¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños? is probably their most famous album, though personally I prefer Amar es Combatir.
