Drive from Boquete to Almirante

We are going to rent a car in Panama City and drive to Volcan, Boquete, visiting different locations along the way. We would like to drive from Boquete to Almirante. From there we'll take a water taxi to Bocas.
Is it in Almirante a secure parking to leave the car?

I will tell you about my 15 minutes in Almirante, if that is any help.
I flew into Bocas and left by the water taxi to Almirante in 2010. The town has wooden shacks by the water. Alot of people out of work and some seeking to make money off of tourists coming and going.

I didn't see any secure parking (not saying there isn't, but I didn't see it) and my feeling would be that you would need secure parking there. If there isn't a guarded car park near the water taxi, I am sure you could hire someone to watch the car. There was a straping older teenager named Jose who met our boat. He looked like the type who could protect your car and take his duties seriously for the right price.

Yes, there is. About 50 m before the watertaxi, there is a parking area - fenced in. Run by a local family. Price was reasonable when we went to Bocas in April. No problems.

Yes there are two secure parking spots around the boat docks, I have used the one near BMT Bocas Marine Tours, the purple boat dock building, 3 times, I remember it being about 2 or 3 dollars per 24 hrs, its gated and you keep your keys with you, they dont take your keys
