Tijuna To Mexico City By BusHi,
So here is my question:
How would I go about taking a bus from Tijuna to Mexico City?
I know that I can purchase a one-way ticket in TJ and just ride the bus for a few days but I am more interested in hearing from other people who have taken this bus ride.
My idea is to break up the trip and get off the bus about once a day and stay in a hotel or hostel for a night or two. That way I get to see more of Mexico and it will also be a much more comfortable traveling experience.
So maybe some folks here have done this exact trip before. Do people have suggestions for which cities-towns to stop in and stay a day or so?

1It's two days and nights of bus travel, with the high points being the bus stations along the way. Yes, you can stay over in Hermosillo, which is somewhat interesting for a new traveller, and Mazatlan and PV which are a lot more so, and Guadalajara, which is the Big City.
But my advice is to fly, and spend the two+ days (four actually, if you ever go home again) where you want to be, rather than on a bus. All transportation in Mexico revolves around DF, and your best airfares are to and from there. Possibly even cheaper than the bus!
Plus, with a few exceptions, Mexico north of the Tropic of Cancer is not really that exciting.
Admin, please stop trying to block Tor exit routers. This one was 18.104.22.168. Your blocking isn't effective, and it's a PITA for those of us who use Tor legitimately.

2I have to agree with Ryon but would split the distance by flying from Tijuana to either Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara, spending some time in the area, and then busing (with stops at points of interest) to Mexico City.
Volaris flies from TIJ to PVR for around $ 160 USD one way (this is a pre-Christmas holiday period price).
Interject flies from TIJ to GDL for around $ 145 USD one way, also a pre-Christmas price.
First class bus tickets from TIJ to PVR run $ 1350 MXN on TAP, and to GDL $ 1670 MXN on Elite.

3"How would I go about taking a bus from Tijuna to Mexico City?" http://www.estrellablanca.com.mx owns Elite, Futura, TNS, Pacifico, Transportes Chihuahuanese and Oriente which are the major companies or brands operating buses from Tijuana to Mexico City and and the major cities in between via Hwy 2 and Hwy 15. Bus fare is MXN$1573(promotion rate) or $1748 which translates to US$119.91 or $133.25 respectively. Volaris is US$169+ OW and Interjet is US$134+ . ('+' means can be more depending on travel dates)
So not much cheaper than flying as mentioned in the above. The main difference is a 42hr ride on a bus vs. 3hr ride on a plane. Your call.
"from Tijuana to either Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara," So if you agreed with Miguelito on #2 you can also include Guanajuato and S Miguel Allende too. Fly from Tijuana to Pto Vallarta and begin there. A bus from Pto Vallarta to Gauadalajara is 4-5hrs; Guadalajara to Guanajuato via Leon is another 4-5hrs; Guanajuato to San Miguel Allende is 1hr (stay in one and visit the other on a day trip); S. Miguel Allende to Queretaro is 2hrs; Queretaro to Mexico City (Mexico Norte) is 2 or 3hrs. Since you coming into Mexico City from north you can also pop in to visit Tula too. Look on the map to see where the places mentioned are at and how they're connected by road.
