1Nope. But I can say many of the more popular spots for nightlife are in the South Beach section of the City of Miami Beach. It's at the southern tip of the barrier island and entire accessible on foot.
There are clubs throughout the Miami area and without knowing what you define as "top" (most expensive, most difficult to get in to, most celeb sightings, etc.) it's tough to answer your question. Also, some of the trendy places seem to disappear pretty quickly; meaning what's hot now might be cool or even gone by your spring break.

4South Beach is a tourist trap - greatly overrated and even more greatly overpriced. The main party area for the locals is along Miami Avenue in the downtown area - and is MUCH better in all respects. The best places are Baru, Kukaramakara, Dolores. Blue Martini is nice, too, but is more for an older crowd.

5Your opinion #4 (with the operative word, opinion).
I've been to Miami more times than most people can count and love South Beach. If anything, I believe it's underrated and MUCH better than Miami in all respects.
You don't have to like it, but most of your statement is just opinion (as is mine).

6Thanks for the responses!
We are just trying to figure out how the night life will be for a bachelor party since none of us have been to Miami/ South Beach.
Were going to be there for one week, and trying to plan out clubs, entertainment, and things to do.
Next we will have to find an affordable condo, or hotel option.

8If you are firm on partying in South Beach, you can try Delano hotel - which has a beautiful lobby area, a nice pool area with a bar and a club in the basement. Just arrive early so you can get there before the rope goes up.
Regardless of a club, to get a table will be expensive, but if you are a large enough group and don't buy too many bottles, and share the expense it should be OK. Just be aware of the fact that most of those clubs have groups of girls employed by the promoters whose job is to drink up the liquor. (The promoters get a percentage of liquor sales.) If you get a table they will quickly appear, immediately help themselves to your liquor, drink it up with amazing speed, and will be gone as soon as you stop ordering more bottles.
By contrast, the clubs I have mentioned above on Miami Avenue are mostly open - you can see if there are people there, have patios for when you meet girls you can talk to them and connect. And these clubs don't run a racket described above.
