Yes sir/madam, you will have arrived before the wire for the Argentina fees(January 7), and will not have to pay any reciprocity fee for either country given your itinerary.48
Still problems with pre-payment website (apparently can't put outside links here now) reported by some with prepayment site, but most successful. Best to use Explorer, as problems with other search engines. some reports:I just had an evening of frustration trying to pay the reciprocity fee from Canada, but mostly because my spanish is pathetic and I could not find a way into an English version of the website. I was told by airline and cruise line to go to provinciapagos but that does not give you any language option. Tried to sign up with spanish but wasn't sure what all the fields were and figured that is a good way to get into permanent trouble. Finally tried migraciones which does have a little US flag where you can select the language, and was successful using Internet Explorer and a Mastercard. There is the 'sign up' option and then you click on forms. After paying, the form with the bar code pops up on the screen when you click on the form icon and you can print from there, plus I got an email with a link that says it is to re-print. Good luck!
"Success with paying reciprocity fee! Finally!
Thank you to everyone for your help!
Please see the posts on the Buenos Aires forum 'entry and exit fees argentina' for futher info from other travellers. I used Internet Explorer (Version 8) and used a visa.
We processed both mine and another travellers in the same payment. The confirmation popped up straight away. I clicked 'MY FORMS' button at the bottom of this confirmation pop-up. It went into 'my forms' where the print symbol next to both our names appeared. And I printed! :-)
I logged back into the page after I printed the receipts and both receipts are in their to print again if required. Both travellers also received an email straight away.
We are currently disputing a double charge for a previous transaction to which we received an 'communication error' message.
Phew...Finally!!!
Hope that helps!"

Thanks for all the helpful info above but I need to confirm:I was in Argentina in 2010 and have a reciprocity stamp valid until 2020 in my since-expired passport. I have my expired passport, with the stamp, but no receipt. Will this suffice or will I need to purchase another stamp for my new (US) passport?

Again, there has been changes, unfortunately I cannot edit the first post.FOR CANADIANS, you have the option of:
1. paying $US 75 for single entry from non-neighboring countries or unlimited entry for 3 months from neighboring (Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay) countries; OR.
2. paying $US 150 for unlimitied entries from anywhere for 5 years.
Sorry for any confusion.

Hi Medocinateacher,I'm Canadian as well and really appreciate your post. I'm flying into Argentina the end of March and at some point will be driving over to Chile. (Will be gone for about 2.5 weeks) If I've understood all the comments correctly, is it right to say I have to pre-pay online for Argnetina, but not worry about any fee for Chile? Also, how fast was the online approval process for a single entry option? Since the validity of the entry is only good for 3 months, I may wait a bit longer before I pay it so then it won't expire on me whilst there.

It is fast once you have paid, thee Chilean fee crossing overland, or just connecting thru form comes up and you print it.Yes, you do not have to pay the Chilean fee crossing overland, or just connecting thru, as it only is payable at the Santiago airport (on entry leaving immigration).

OK, so my American friend and I (I have both the American and the Argentine passport) are flying in on Feb. 4th. I am using the Argentine passport for sure... but since my friend is fluent in Spanish (I am too) we were going to try to pull an Argentine "chamullo" and see if we could pass her anyway, since I hear Argentines with American passports don't have to pay the fee either. Is that true?
And regardless... what happens if she doesn't pay the fee online beforehand? They can't actually kick her out, right? She can "pay" (or bribe? HAHA) at the airport, right?
Gosh I missed these Argentina-related dilemmas....

Anyone take the Buquebus ferry from Colonia de Sacramento to Buenos Aires recently and can attest to whether they were charging reciprocity fees at immigration? I realize the articles says they are, by I came in through Mendoza after the implementation date and I didn't have to pay a fee. I'm guessing the actual implementation of fee collection at all border crossings will take longer than the dates posted.59
