Thanksgiving

Does any one know where I can get a frozen turkey or which restaurants serve some type of Thanksgiving style meals around Saigon? Thank you!

If you're looking to buy a frozen turkey, try Veggies Supermarket. They have a store at the bottom of the Intercontinental (and at least 1 other in D1). If your looking for a prepared meal, try Texas BBQ on Le Thanh Ton. They used to do a massive Thanksgiving dinner every year.

These are for the Park Hyatt and Sheraton Saigon.

On Nov. 22 celebrate American Thanksgiving at Square One with a variety of dishes ranging from a glazed duck salad with sweet potatoes and chestnuts to the traditional turkey. Priced at VND990,000++/pax.

THANKSGIVING DAY CELEBRATION
Celebrate Thanksgiving Day on Thursday the 22nd of November in Saigon Café. Enjoy traditional dishes such as pumpkin cream soup, butter ball Turkey and stuffing, baked honey ham glaze and oyster Rockefeller. Included with all the Thanksgiving favorites will be free flow of house wine, coffee and tea.

From experience do not let the Viets carve up your turkey. Do it yourself unless you love bone shards in every bite.
