Beaches: it's possible to swim in the Sea in late spring, although the water temperatures are not overwhelming. In early spring, you would certainly be the only one trying such a thing.Corsica has good maps and a big net of well signmarked trails. Sardinia has some trails too, poorly signmarked or not signmarked at all. Maps are often outdated and/or fanciful.
Both Islands have stunning landscapes, mountains, beaches and archeological places. Public transport is bad in Corsica and mediocre in Sardinia.
