Have I forgotten anything?

Hi,

I have posted about my plans once or twice before this year, and i finally leave in just over two weeks, just wanted to do a final check to make sure i have not overlooked anything.

Basically me and my partner are going, budget is £12000 for the both of us. We are hoping to travel for the majority of 2013.

Plan

Fly into Signapore for 3 nights (already paid for does not ocme out of 12000)
Overland to Malaysia for 30 days ( no need to by visa, correct?)
Overland into Thailand for 60 days (visa's bought a KL?)
Overland into Laos (visa on arrival)
Overland into Cambodia (visa on arrival)
Overland into Veitnam (visa's bought from PP or Sihanoukville)

That will roughly be the first 6 months. From there we havent quite decided, going to see how much money we have left, maybe fly to india we are not sure yet, going to try and take it as it comes.

Have I missed anything? Am I correct with my Visa's? I have spent along time researching and I know it is a route well travelled, just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in Advance.

G.

Are you British passport holders? If so,that is all correct.

If not, that may make some difference with the visas ;-)

Thanks for the replies, yeah sorry should have mentioned that we are British passport holders.

LibbySmall, thanks for the tip on the slow boat, I was aware of the slow boat through Laos towards Cambodia but not from Thailand to Laos. We will definately look into this.

Thanks again

Just in case you are considering (or consider in the future) to visit Pakistan, be aware it's requiring to get a visa in your home country.

Looks fine. Budget might be a bit tight but if you keep enough money in reserve to get home when you run out of spending money, that's not really a problem.

After Vietnam you could go to China (visa required) and maybe into Nepal and India from there.

Hi, I doubt you're checking your Lonely Planet account but in the hope that you just might.... how's it going with the budget? My boyfriend and I are going to SE Asia in 5 weeks for about 3 months and planning to visit all the countries you are.

Hope you're having a great time and if you've got any advice for us it would be appreciated!!
