Pristine dollars / euro's not needed in Myanmar

At the moment I'm in Mandalay. Travelled form Yangon to The Golden Rock, Bago, Inle Lake and Mandalay. We payed our entrances everywhere without pristine dollars.

Changed our money at the airport, folded euro's accepted without any loss of exchange
The Golden Rock payed with folded dollars, no problem!
Bago payed with folded 50 dollar accepted and pristine dollar 10's back as change!
Entrance Inle Lake, folded 10's without a problem!
Mandalay, folded 50 no problem. Pristine dollar bills as change!

Folded as in only through the middle and made them as new as possible.

Sometimes they look and if you got some other same like dollars they accept 1 of them. Once somebody didn't accept our slightly teared dollar but accepted the folded. I keep my pristine dollars in my pocket as long as I can!

It's changing now. But try to get good dollar and euro bills to be sure. Exchange rate euro's in the hotel of Inle Lake and Mandalay was 1000 to 1 euro. Yangon airport was 1079 to 1 euro.

Yep, de beggars and sellers of postcards are there all ready. In Bagan they refused my folded $100 but accepted a less folded 50. Busses are also off and on to Bagan. You can be on your own in the field but for how long????
