I don't think there is a Fine Line, more like a Big Wide Swath. You're as old as you Think. If you think young you can straddle the fence for years, which is the best of both worlds. The benefits of youth and the additional benefits of maturity. Between 40 and 70 the Fine Line/Big Wide Swath is totally up to each individual. I'm taking advantage of it.

My problem is, my mental age is young, but my body won't keep up with my brain any more.

Most my friends are younger than me chronologically, so I've started to believe I'm actually at least 15 years younger. It's great because it allows me to exercise and play like I'm still in myn 30's or 40's.

My first indication was looking at the Travelling Companions section on LP, and realising that most was just not where I was at. And then.......

......three days ago I was in a ticket queue and, on reading the notice, realised that I could have my first 'senior' reduced price ticket and thinking I didn't need it; only to find myself asking for it, and accepting it, without any difficulty, second thoughts or qualms whatsoever. But what really disconcerted me (for all of 5 seconds) was that the ticket seller didn't ask me for identity and proof of age. So that's it. Definitely older. Just not wiser.

I had to talk the ticket guy in Madrid, out of giving me a geezer deal. I said the Economía Éspañol needs it more than I do.

Keep on truckin'

72 and still growing up. Backpacking has improved my hearing and patience.

Ain't no luggage racks on a hurse.

Yes, that's the one that always gets me too. Until I realised that (almost?) no-one - especially female - would claim to be older than they were, just to get a discount. :>))

That happened to one of our more prominent conservative politicians At the time I thought "silly old bugger", but some 25 years later I feel only sorrow that he was taken at such an early age.
