Help !!! 6,7 months in SE Asia, march-september..No crowded but hot and wet

Hello everyone! Sorry if a similar thread exists but any help would be much appreciated.

I'm planning already the trip all this year, but because of a small unforeseen I must postpone my trip...
Before this has happened I was thinkin to go for about 5/6 months from november till march/april...
Seems to be the period with the best weather those month, avoiding monsoon's season and the wettest month for mainland Southeast Asia...
On the other hand travelling few months later, I avoid the peak tourist season, crowded and expensive..
The weather it gonna be warm, wet, windy but I know that's the part of the trip...
And I can not wait anymore so my decision is to start the trip next year and it doesn't matter if is not the best season to travel, the landscape turn brown or the trails are dusty...
I just want to smell the southeast asia's aroma as soon as possible...
The thing I decide to organize the trip, I can not leave before end of february/march, maybe if I'm lucky bit earlier but I don't want to trust to much that....
So I'm going to travel for about 6/7 months around SE Asia (I've been before to Thailand and Vietnam)...
I would like to have some advice and opinions from other travellers, specially because of the weather, cuz like I told before I already know where to go, then may I change a bit the route but the most important thing is if gonna be ok this itinerary in that period or may is better to modify the itinerary for example cuz gonna be difficult to travel in that country that month, or because could be very wet overthere and may I switch with another place...
I'm 25 ,male italian...

That's my itinerary....

march : Cambodia,Laos
april : Laos,Thailand
may : Myanmar
june : Indonesia
july : Malaysia
august : ..... ???
september : Philippines ???

I know it gonna be very hot in march and april in Cambodia and Laos, and in Burma too...
Just would like to have some advice, what do you gonna change about the trip ???
What about june in Indonesia and july in Malaysia...
Do you think is better to switch that ???

many thanks to your help !!! Marco

I don't it will be that wet, main wet season is July - Oct for SEA Mainland and Indonesia is fairly dry May-Sept. It will be hot esp. MArch - June in Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia. As for route I may change it around a bit:

march : Cambodia,Laos
april : Laos, Myanmar
may : Thailand
june : Malaysia
july : Indonesia
august : Indonesia
september : Philippines ???

That would cut down on travel and be a bit better weatherwise?

I think it sounds already better, and I was thinkin'.... If I want to add Vietnam too what do you think could be the best month ??? (I've been already but I've not seen that much the south)...
Another question Herbie, do you think is a high risk to travel around cambodia and laos in march and april....(dengue,malaria)....
I know that wearing long sleeves and DEET should be fine but do you know if people are used to travel on that period overthere or they wait when the hot season is over....
And do you know if spend september in philippines is a good decision or is better to change my plan and go somewhere else or stay longer in Indonesia or maybe Timor-Leste ???
And in which country you guess I gonna have more problems with public transport and move from one place to the other ???

Thanks again...

Marco

March is extremely hot & humid. I tend to like that but many tourists I saw in Laos this March seemed to be miserable dealing with it. Up north in Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng etc it was pretty smoky as they were in the midst of slash and burn season.

I would say Vietnam is good in April, bit hot in south but rest is fine. Malaria should not be so much of a problem in March/April as still dry season, not sure about dengue but prob. similar. PIs is not great in September, I would see how you get on in other countries first be flexible.
