Made a boo boo with my travel arrangements to Indonesia

Hi

I am visiting Thailand in January, through to April and decided that we would fly south from Bangkok after only a week and visit Java, Sulawesi, bali and Lombok. But not realising that although its the dry season in thailand, its the wet in indonesia.

We could waste the flights and stick to thailand, Laos, Cambodia and vietnam but was just looking for some advice about the weather. Is it worth visiting these islands during the wet season? and if so where would be best to go? Lets just say that we don't want to go to places that are full of hippies and are terrible tourist traps but also don't want to be Robinson Crusoe :)

I was thinking of Lombok and Gili Nangu, however if the weather is bad I would rather cancel the flights and spend a bit more time in Loas and Cambodia.

So is there any hidden gems down that way. I feel that if we do go then Sulawesi is a must, but again where?

Cheers folks
