Hello, I'd like to do Corcovado between Nov. 25-Dec. 1, 2012 (though it appears to be rainy there at this time) or Dec. 15-21, 2012 (highly preferable due to less rain - hopefully) .

I'd like to do the 3 day hike starting from Los Patos idealistically as well and with a package that includes the food and dorm (if camping would I have to bring my own tent? Would like to travel as light as possible). Most of the ones I've seen however, require a minimum of at least 2 people, so if anyone would like to go at at the said period pls. let me know asap. The sites I've looked at are corcovadoguide.com, soldeosa.com and surcostours.

However if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative that's not too much trouble in terms of arranging transport and what not let me know. I'd like to hike as lightly as possible so Id like not to have to carry additional food/gear.

Pls. let me know if anyone else is interested, I'll be arriving on Nov. 24/12 in SJO. A permit is required which can only be made at least 30 days to date of entry I believe and there's only certain number of people allowed.

Hi all -
My boyfriend and I are doing a Corcovado hike January 1-3, if anyone is interested in sharing the cost of a guide. We've applied for our own permits and lodging at Sirena station for 2 nights. And we plan to arrange our own transport (buses/ vans).
