Cool Paris in February

Hello.
Looking for some great Parisian insider tips.
Will be in Paris in February (not Valentines) for 2 nights with girlfriend.
It's our first break away from our baby (the guilt!), so we're willing to live it up a bit.

Hotel: Somewhere cool. Would go boutique or a hotel that has it all.

Restaurant suggestions... Open to all kinds of cuisine. Lunch or dinner. Plush and 'spit on floor'

Culture; It would be great to know if there's anything special happening in music, art, film, (early or late Feb)

That's a few questions, i know.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi....
Somewhere cool.... It'll be colder than cool in February. Wrap up warm.
My favourite area of Paris is Montmartre. Great walking, food, music, buildings etc....

As for what's going on in 2013, there are a few good sites to check out. Here's just one....

You should visit the pastry shop of Jacques Genin. They have their own tea salon, so you can eat there. They make exquisite versions of the most traditional pastries. More like going to a jewelry store than a patisserie.

All Good suggestions cheers.

Have you (or someone you know) been to Le Jules Verne. I was fearing tourist trap/naff, but the reviews online seem to dispel this.
It'd be a big chunk of change for lunch/dinner though!

Thanks

I took my then fiancée there for Valentine's night a few years ago. They met my request (even though it was very full that night) and we had a separate table for two by the window, looking over the Seine to the Trocadero (big romantic gestures anyone?). The food and service were exquisite.

The price was, well, you don't want to know...
