Where to go in November/December

Which country in South America is best to visit in November/December?
And which country would be best for a language course?

Thank you!

Melanie

Depending where youre traveling from and how much youre looking to spend of airfare
popular destinations for language learning
are
Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Peru
and for the most part all of them will be in the Warm summer season.
Medellin, Colombia is a personal favorite of mine for spanish learning as the people are friendly, courses are fairly cheap and the country offers lots to see and do.

Kinda depends what language you want to learn.......

Portugese - Brazil
French - French Guiana
Dutch - Suriname
English - Guyana

Let's assume you want to learn Spanish then nov/dec is summer in patagonia which is great for outdoors stuff. However it is pretty expensive.

Everyone will have different recommendations. I would look at your interests - are beaches your thing? than Brazil might be your answer and therefore learning Portuguese. Is hiking and stunning scenery what you like? Then Patagonia is more your thing. Its all rather dependent on you.

Uh, sorry - spanish of course.
And need to decide between Ecuador, Argentinia, Peru and Chile and heard that Chile isn't the best place for Spanish learners...

What are you looking for in a destination? How healthy is your budget? Have you checked out the climate at the various possible locations?

Bolivia is probably the cheapest place to learn.

How much money would I need for a month in the above mentioned countries (excluding language courses and flights) roughly?

Brazil - expensive. At least 50-60 USD a day. So roughly 1800 USD.
Bolivia - 500-600.
Peru - 800-900.

It all depends on how long you stay in your language course. In Sucre, you can get lessons from 5 dollars an hour.
