Rwanda visa...again...sorry

Sorry, I realise that this has been done to death, but I can't find a clear answer on it.

A UK and a German citizen flying into Kigali in December. Do we need to fill out the form in advance? Is this the correct one - https://www.migration.gov.rw/singleform.php ? And if so, what do we do for the 'letter of invitation' we're supposed to attach?

Last time I was in Rwanda I could just pick up a visa on arrival (whilst crossing the Kabale border) so I just want to make sure we don't land and get sent back.

Thank you everyone!

The locally based Tour Company you booked the Tour with should be able to send you the invitation letter to present to Rwanda Embassy in your Country for Visa Application.

UK and german citizens do not need to do any of this, just fill in the arrivals form at the airport or land border and get stamped through. costs nothing. I am from the UK and go over the border a few times a year, germany are also included in the bilateral agreement. Visa-free for 90 days

And for others who might see this post, the invitation letter is not actually required, just add whatever attachment. I have added my flight itinerary there and it has been fine.

I plan to arrive to Rwanda from Uganda and then go to Burundi (three days visa) and come back to Rwanda: do I need to fill the form two times and get two single visas or what?

Italian passport, thanks in advance!

Check the Immigration pages. Either you have to take two single visas (for instance transit visas) or one multiple, there are various options but some of them to my understanding you can get only at the Embassy.

i think italians need to do the online thing for Rwanda sputnik, I'm not sure what the rules are on multi-entry, check their website, just google rwandan visas, its not amazing but its not a terrible website

Thanks everyone. Hamidah we haven't booked a tour so that doesn't help us I'm afraid.
'Check the immigration pages' is also not incredibly helpful - African embassy pages are notoriously out of date, which is why I asked the question.

Ric_Howard - does this also apply to people arriving at the airport (as opposed to just going over the border)? I just want to be sure so we're not turned back!

yeah, its any entry point, UK and German are ok, you can check their immigration website, just google Rwandan Visa and it lists the nations not needing one, UK and Germany are both there

A bit of attitude check, please. Rwanda (Government's) Immigration page is the one you yourself mentioned in your OP. They are not Embassy pages but they are the final word, much more updated than any of us here.As Ric Howard said, all the information is there, and it is impossible for outsiders to say which visas you should apply because each visa has its own conditions (how many days you want stay, can you apply in an Embassy or not).

Well, I asked because I had zero answer when I contacted the rwandan immigration directly and their site don't mention multiple entry visas which get me a little confused. Nevermind, probably I will need to apply for two single.

Sorry, yes, probably didn't come out as I intended. I just meant that, like sputnikboy, I was a bit confused with what the immigration pages were saying so hoped someone might be able to clarify from personal experience. We live in Nigeria where the immigration rules change all the time and the pages aren't always in date. Ric Howard, thanks very much - really appreciate it!

Why does the Government of Rwanda make traveling to their beautiful country so difficult? Most countries nowadays do not require any pre-application for a tourist visa of less that thirty days and some for ninety. I bet Rwanda losses a lot of revenue because they have this impenetrable visa system. Their website is dire. So, come on Rwanda. Do you want us to visit?

Sorry for bothering - but if this topis is open I will add my question to it.

I will be travelling to Rwanda next January.
Have been already submitting form twice on https://www.migration.gov.rw/singleform.php - no reply. Emailed them - nothing.
What will happen if I turn up at the border with no trace of the preregistration. Anybody experienced this? What to do in this case?

Polish passport, travelling overland

thanks in advance
