Tires to use in Fujigoko (Fuji Five Lakes) area in last week of Nov
Hi,I am planning to rent a car to drive from Tokyo to Fujigoko area in the last week of November. Then, drive in the Fujigoko area for a few days for sightseeing.
I am wondering if I should order the snow tires.
Please enlighten.

I've been to Kawaguchiko in summer and I have been to Nagano in winter (Nagano has a higher elevation).In Nagano, on normal roads, chains were not necessary (even though there was very high amounts of snowfall)
The reason was that the roads were well maintained - they took efforts to ensure ice did not form.
So I am guessing that Kawaguchiko (with the lower elevation) should not be a problem without chains.
