I don't need a whole day, but I'm happy to pay for an hour or two of fast connection time. Extra points for places set up for Skyping where I could dial into a conference, or open late, so I can spend the days sightseeing.
Has anyone used the internet at Lima airport? Is the business center decent?
Do cafes in Miraflores have internet, or would I be better off at a hotel or school?
Any places in Cusco or Arequipa to recommend to get a little work done?
Thanks for any pointers on such a boring topic. I'd rather be worrying about where to get the best ceviche and pollo a la brasa.

3Usually around 1Mbs, some places will have 2 Mbs (that is top speed) but you would need to rent it out for nobody to use it in the same time.
For video streaming you should be fine even with 512kbs if it's not hd, it's more a question of ping rather than speed.
I suggest not to worry too much about it. I haven't found wi-fi in midrange accommodation problematic, if it happens to be poor you can walk around and there is always plenty of internet cafes.
I don't have anything precise unfortunately, internet is huge PITA in this continent if you are used to world standards and it takes time to acclimatize...

5If you just need voice any wi-fi connection in Peru should be enough, I've use it in many places and never had in issue.
I had the issue with moderation once, mod explain that I've used some world that is automatically filtered as spam....
