Greetings Travelers! We arrive late night to the Managua airport and plan to stay at the BW hotel. We wanted to know the best/quickest way to get to Ometepe the following morning. We hear there is a ferry from San Jorge at 930AM that takes an hour. Anyone know if we can catch a bus or such that will get us to San Jorge in time for the earliest ferry? Oh, we're not on a super tight budget so we can afford to pay for express transport.
Then we want to get to Little Corn Island. Suggestions on the quickest way there......without having to go all the way back to Managua Airport?
Thanks for any input. Travel well :-)

Thanks for the feedback. We've read it can be sketchy to take some of the taxi's. So if we take a taxi from Managua to San Jorge and we do NOT have the Best Western arrange it, do we just wait at the airport taxi stand and try to negotiate with one of the taxi drivers?5
Thanks, Globaler. Very helpful. You aren't, by chance, a Nicaraguan tour guide, are you? :-) And can we use US Dollars throughout Nicaragua? Everyone seems to hint that you can. We weren't sure if we should bring Nicaraguan cordobas.6
No thx, i am a dutch psyciatrical nurse who worked and travelled in Nicaragua 3 times..:-). And yes people accept us dollars but it"s better to have cordobas as well for food, bustransport, coffee, drinks, the ferrie etc. There should be a ATM at the airport for cordobas , and dollars as well...have fun....9
40 will be okay, i paid 50 from Rivas to Managua , 31th of december when hardly any buses where there anymore....
