Accommodation for short stop in santiagoHello,
Looking for independent inputs on a good spot to stay in santiago. If there was somewhere close to the bus to the airport that'd be a plus. I'm as interested in a general landmark as much as a specific hostel.
Am I safe enough walking from the bus terminal or should I be looking at a taxi?
Appreciate any inputs people have.

1Whole Santiago is very safe city, there is nothing dodgy around terminal, but if you are not loaded metro is better and cheaper, in rush hours it will be even faster too.
Just stay in the centre, there is nothing interesting around terminal.

I think #2 has answered the question but if you mean can you walk to the airport the answer is "No". The roads around the airport are designed solely to accommodate motor vehicles with neither cycleways or safe walking space - catch the bus or metro.
Yes, Santiago is a safe city, albeit not as exciting or interesting as many other SA capitals (excitement is probably inversely proportional to safety).
